The Problem
Liquidation reselling has exploded in popularity. Platforms like Direct Liquidation, B-Stock, and Liquidation.com make it easy to bid on pallets of customer returns, overstock, and shelf pulls. But there's a gap between "winning a pallet" and "making money on a pallet."
Most new buyers look at the manifest MSRP — say, $4,800 — see the current bid at $400, and think they're getting 90% off. What they don't calculate is the $285 in freight, the $12 buyer's premium, the $95 liftgate fee, and the fact that untested customer returns realistically recover 15–30% of retail, not 90%. That $400 "deal" becomes a $792 landed cost against maybe $1,050 in actual sales — before marketplace fees.
The Solution
LoadCost.is puts all of that math in one place. Enter your shipment details, get a freight estimate. Enter your deal details, get a realistic profit projection. Paste your manifest, get item-level analysis with category-adjusted recovery rates, risk flags, and a confidence-scored max bid. No sign-up, no sales calls, no hidden fees. Just the numbers.
What We Stand For
Accuracy Over Hype
Our recovery rates come from industry research, B-Stock reports, and reseller community data — not made-up numbers designed to make deals look good.
Speed Without Friction
Every tool works instantly in your browser. No accounts, no email gates, no "request a demo" buttons. Your time matters.
Transparency
We show our math. Every estimate breaks down exactly how it was calculated. Every recovery rate cites where the data comes from.
Built to Evolve
We're actively adding features based on what resellers actually need — manifest analysis, category-specific adjustments, and more coming soon.
Who's Behind This
LoadCost.is is built and maintained by Michael Williams. The site launched in March 2026 and is actively developed with new features, expanded data, and additional educational content being added regularly. It started as a personal tool to evaluate pallet deals and grew into something worth sharing.
